Alexis received a Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Alabama’s Graduate Community Journalism program. During graduate school, she covered commerce, politics, the economy, health, education and subjects of historical interest and significance. Alexis had the pleasure of getting to know Calhoun County’s residents, and enjoyed covering the First Lady’s visit to Tuskegee University as well as sharing memories of growing up near a blueberry farm. To read pieces she wrote or contributed to as a staff writer at The Anniston Star , click HERE.
